Privacy
This page covers everything under mbaforthematriarchy.com: this site, the podcast pages, and the course site at courses.mbaforthematriarchy.com.
The short version: I collect what I need to sell you a course, let you in, and answer you. I don’t sell your information, and I don’t track you around the internet.
Who’s responsible
MBA for the Matriarchy is run by me, Lindsay LaShell, through Diamond & Branch Marketing Group, LLC.
What I collect, and why
When you buy a course: your name, your email, and what you bought, which Stripe passes to me. I use them to give you access, send your course emails, and handle refunds. I never see your card details. Stripe handles payment.
When you sign in: a cookie, which is a small file your browser keeps so you stay signed in for up to 90 days. It’s used for sign-in and nothing else.
When you use a course: which course pages you open, and when. I use this to know whether you’re still eligible for a refund, to send you one reminder if you haven’t started, and to see which parts of the course people use.
When you ask for a sign-in link: your IP address (your connection’s address on the internet), used only to stop too many requests at once.
When you use the contact form: your name, email, and message, so I can reply.
When you book a podcast interview: the details the Google Calendar booking page asks for, so we can schedule. The recording happens in StreamYard.
When you visit the site: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and pages viewed. It doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t collect anything that identifies you.
Emails I send
Only emails about your course: a welcome email, sign-in links when you ask for them, and one reminder if you haven’t started. There’s no marketing list. My newsletter lives on Substack, and you sign up there separately if you want it.
Who else handles your information
These companies run parts of the site for me, and only handle your information to do that job:
- Stripe (opens in new tab): payments and receipts
- Cloudflare (opens in new tab): hosts the course site, stores buyer and course data, and runs analytics
- Resend (opens in new tab): sends course emails
- Netlify (opens in new tab): hosts this site and the contact form
- Discourse (opens in new tab): hosts the community, if you join
- Google (opens in new tab): podcast booking and my email
- StreamYard (opens in new tab): podcast recording
I don’t sell or rent your information, and I don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long I keep it
As long as you have access to a course. You can ask me to delete your information at any time. Deleting it ends your course access. Stripe keeps payment records it’s required to keep for tax and legal reasons.
Your choices
Email courses@mbaforthematriarchy.com to see what I have about you, correct it, or delete it.
Kids
This site and its courses are for people 18 and older. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change affects how your information is used, I’ll email buyers about it.
