Terms
These are the rules for using this site and buying a course. I’ve kept them short and plain on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email me at courses@mbaforthematriarchy.com and I’ll explain it.
Who you’re dealing with
MBA for the Matriarchy is run by me, Lindsay LaShell, through Diamond & Branch Marketing Group, LLC. When these terms say “I” or “me,” that’s who they mean.
By using this site or buying a course, you agree to these terms.
Buying a course
You need to be 18 or older to buy a course.
Prices are in US dollars and listed on each course page. Payment goes through Stripe, and Stripe sends your receipt. Your course access comes from courses@mbaforthematriarchy.com.
Buying a course gives you access to that course, and our Discourse community, but not to other courses.
Refunds
If you haven’t started the course, you can get a full refund within 180 days of buying it. Email courses@mbaforthematriarchy.com from the address you used to buy, and I’ll refund you through Stripe.
Starting the course means opening any page after Start here. The welcome page and Start here don’t count, so you can look around before you decide.
Once you’ve opened a module, the course isn’t refundable.
A refund ends your access to that course. Any other course you’ve bought stays yours.
How long you have access
For as long as I offer the course. If I ever retire one, I’ll email you at least 30 days before it goes away, so you have time to finish and keep your notes.
Using the course materials
The course is for you. Please don’t share your sign-in, or copy, resell, or post the videos, lessons, templates, or prompts anywhere else.
What you learn is yours. Use the ideas, prompts, and templates in your own business as much as you like. That’s the point.
Everything else on this site, including the writing, design, and images, belongs to me unless I say otherwise.
The community
Every course comes with access to the MBA for the Matriarchy community. The community has its own guidelines (opens in new tab), and I may remove anyone who doesn’t follow them. Being removed from the community doesn’t end your course access.
What the course is, and isn’t
These courses are education. They aren’t legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice. For decisions like those, talk to a professional who knows your situation.
I can’t promise results. What happens next depends on your business, your circumstances, and the work you put in.
Some courses use other companies’ tools, like Claude, Cloudflare, or Stripe. Those tools have their own terms, prices, and changes, and I don’t control them. Your accounts with them, and any costs, are yours.
If you build something in a course, like your website in Website in a Weekend, it’s yours. You own it, and you’re responsible for it: what it says, keeping it running, and following the laws that apply to it.
Using this site
Please don’t use this site to break the law, get into parts of it you haven’t paid for, or interfere with how it works. If you do, I can end your access without a refund.
When I link to other people’s sites, I’m not responsible for what’s on them.
The legal part, in plain language
The site and courses are provided as they are. I work to keep everything accurate and running, but I can’t promise it will always be error-free or available.
As far as the law allows, I’m not responsible for indirect losses, like lost income, from using the site or a course. My total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid for the course in question.
Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer protection law.
If something goes wrong
Email me first. Most things can be sorted out with a conversation.
These terms are governed by California law. Any legal dispute will be handled in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version. If a change affects buyers, like refunds, access, or how your information is used, I’ll email you about it.
